Getting there

• The venue has its own station, Alexandra Palace. Great Northern trains run direct from Moorgate (via Highbury & Islington) and from King’s Cross.
• By Tube, the nearest station is Wood Green on the Piccadilly line (about 20 minutes from Piccadilly Circus).
• The W3 bus runs from Finsbury Park and Tottenham to Alexandra Palace Ice Rink and Palm Court.

Tickets and watching

• World Championship tickets are sold by afternoon and evening session. Popular sessions around the holidays sell out early.
• The palace sits on a hill, a short walk from the station and bus stops. In winter it is dark before 4pm and cold, so plan your way back in advance.

Travel tips

• There is usually no play around 24–26 December, and London public transport is heavily reduced (almost none on the 25th). Check the schedule for rest days.
• Many fans stay in central London and travel in by train each day.
