Entry requirements for darts trips

Entry requirements for the countries and regions where PDC events are held. Rules depend on your passport and change often, so this page gives an overview with links to official websites.

UK: ETA Schengen Area Ireland Asia

United Kingdom (ETA)

Nationals who can visit the UK without a visa still need an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) before travelling. This includes passports from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.

Apply through the official UK government app or GOV.UK. It costs £20. Unofficial websites may charge more.

You usually get a decision by email within a day (up to 3 working days). An ETA lasts 2 years, or until your passport expires if sooner, and allows multiple visits of up to 6 months.

Passports from mainland China, Thailand and the Philippines need a visa instead of an ETA.

Europe (Schengen Area)

Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, France and others form the Schengen Area, with generally no border checks between them.

Passports from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and others can visit for up to 90 days in any 180 without a visa. Passports from mainland China, Thailand and the Philippines need a Schengen visa.

The Entry/Exit System (EES) has been fully running since 10 April 2026. On your first entry from outside the area, your passport details, fingerprints and face photo are registered. No advance application is needed, but the first check can take longer.

ETIAS (travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors) has not started yet. No start date has been fixed; it will be announced several months in advance.

Ireland

Ireland is in neither the Schengen Area nor the UK system, so a UK ETA or Schengen rules do not apply.

If you go for an event such as the Premier League night in Dublin, check the rules for your passport with the Irish Immigration Service.

Asia (Asian Tour and more)

These countries require an online arrival card before arrival (it can also be done at the airport). All are free on official government websites.

For China, visa-free eligibility and lengths of stay change often. Check the latest information from the Chinese embassy or the National Immigration Administration before travelling.
